Canadian Red Cross First Aid and CPR/AED courses are taken by students all over the world for personal enjoyment, for employment purposes, to meet school requirements, by coaches, by EMS professionals and by many more. Teaching these courses is a great way to maintain your skills and provide a valuable service to others.
Canadian Red Cross First Aid and CPR/AED instructors can teach for any Canadian Red Cross First Aid Training Provider. After gaining experience you can even start your own business and offer your own first aid and CPR courses!
Priority Care First Aid has designed this website to provide you with the information needed to choose the Canadian Red Cross instructor school that is the most appropriate for you. This website is a companion site to our main website: www.prioritycare.ca
There are three main Canadian Red Cross First Aid and CPR/AED Instructor courses:
- A full 36 hour Red Cross First Aid and CPR Instructor Course for new instructors.
- A 20 hour Red Cross First Aid and CPR Instructor Transfer Course for people who already teach first aid for another recognized first aid agency (The Heart & Stroke Foundation of Canada, St. John Ambulance, the LifeSaving Society, and the Canadian Ski Patrol), who are already Canadian Red Cross Water Safety Instructors (WSI), or for people who are licensed teachers with an education degree.
- An 8 hour Red Cross First Aid Recertification Course, for existing Red Cross instructors who need to recert their instructor certification.
Once completed you will receive 3 year certification as a Canadian Red Cross First Aid and CPR/AED instructor and will be able to teach the following courses:
